Lions Rugby v Crusaders + a special presentation by Joe McGinley on rugby development. Suitable for all players, coaches and parents.
Letterkenny RFC have the great pleasure of welcoming back Joe McGinley to Dave Gallaher Memorial Park to give the whole club an update of current 'best practice' for rugby development at all levels of our club.
Joe was captain of Letterkenny U18s in 2004/5 and went to University of Limerick to study Sports Science before becoming a rugby development officer with Munster Rugby and ascending through the coaching levels to now be employed with the Munster Academy in the new 'state of the art' high performance centre and working with some of the brightest prospects in Irish Rugby over the last number of years.
Recently, Joe was on the coaching panel for Munster A team who recently triumphed in the B and I Cup.
Joe has worked with many schools and clubs in his adopted province and seen the all the different combinations of factors leading to success and failure for players and clubs alike.
Joe is going to present an overview of the main factors for the development of rugby in both individuals and clubs of our size. There will be important messages here for everyone who has an interest in rugby at whatever level they play, coach or support!
So if you want to find out what Conor Murray eats for breakfast, or what C.J. Stander's post match recovery routine would be, please come along and hear Joe speak.
Ricky Huey our local Ulster Regional Rugby Lead will also speak and bring his huge experience of Ulster and South African Rugby to respond to Joes's presentation.
Q and A session afterwards for any people with specific questions for our guests.
All welcome, food and refreshments will be available.
