Letterkenny u18s travelled to Limavady only to be told that the Limavady team only had 13 players. They conceded the points and we gave them 2 of our players but meant we would still get a game. From the start we were the more dominant team but Limavady are big and physical and held us for a long time without a score. Eventually, after running the ball through the hands we got the first try and then seemed to settle for the rest of the half scoring 4 more tries and going in to the break 31-0
In the 2nd half Limavady were a bit more structured using their big forwards to bash up the middle of the field and were rewarded with a try. Letterkenny then turned in on again putting in 2 quick tries to end the game 43-7.
There was good performances across the team but some boys like David Illie and Jayden Friel were brilliant on attack, defence and conversions respectively. Another outstanding game from Finn Duffy. Cuan Brophy, David Henry, Cillian Boyle and Ewan Douglas were very solid today and when he came on Connor Gibson made some huge hits. Some great runs by Tiernan McFadden. A good solid performance by everyone and one step closer to the league guys. Well done. Man of the match: Finn Duffy
