Kukri Ulster Rugby Championship Division 3

Letterkenny 32
Civil Service 5

Letterkenny's first team cruised to a routine bonus point victory at home to Civil Service on Saturday afternoon.
Dermot Dunleavy opened the scoring for the home side with a well struck penalty, making up for a knock on from kick off. This put Letterkenny into a lead they would not relinquish.
A 5m scrum saw number 8 Dave Brown go close after a powerful run from the base before Cormac McMenamin drove over from close range.
Following a clever break and lovely offload by outhalf Darragh McConnell, big tighthead Christopher Digimas showed deceptively nimble footwork to come close to the line before Andrew Gibson was able to pick and power over the tryline from a couple of feet out to stretch the lead to 17-0.
Next up the 'kenny pack flexed their muscle, and a fantastic rolling maul saw hooker Shaun McGill crash over to leave the score 22-0 at half-time.
The second half continued in much the same fashion as the first until the gloomy November day was brightened by the score of the season so far. An initial break by Andrew Gibson, saw him put away flanker James Sweeney who in turn found openside Kevin Callaghan to gallop deep into the service 22. Some quick hands saw Letterkenny switch the play the full width of the field from right to left, then back again, with nearly every Letterkenny player involved before wing Chris Petersen showed a quick pair of heels to score in the corner.
Civil Service hit back with a try of their own, picking and driving over from close range to make the score 27-5.
Letterkenny, however, would have the final say. Chris Digimas once again defied the odds and reputation to deliver the most delicate of delightful tip on passes to put Jack Kennedy away in the corner, earning not only the adulation of the on-watching fans but the man of the match award in the process.
Head Coach Kevin Arenhold will be happy to get a bonus point win before some massive upcoming games.
