Letterkenny U18s got their pre-season campaign underway with a competitive three-team blitz against Dungannon RFC and Royal School Dungannon, playing two 15-minute games against each side.

Letterkenny opened proceedings against Dungannon RFC in a highly competitive and physical encounter. Despite a strong performance, Dungannon edged the game 12–5 after scoring the decisive try with the final play. Ben Ramsey crossed for Letterkenny’s try.

In their second game, Letterkenny were narrowly beaten again but produced an excellent defensive display. Royal School Dungannon managed to score the only try of a closely contested game to secure a slender victory.

Letterkenny found their rhythm during the second round of fixtures. An excellent all-round performance against Dungannon RFC, both in attack and defence, earned the team its first victory of the morning. Aiden Keeney crossed for the try, with Matthew Farrell adding the conversion to complete a deserved 7–0 win.

The final game saw Letterkenny face Royal School Dungannon once again and secure a second consecutive victory. Another determined defensive performance saw Letterkenny hold their opponents up over the try line on two occasions.

Ronan McFadden and Ethan Rodriguez both crossed for tries, with Matthew Farrell successfully converting both to complete an impressive 14–5 victory.

Overall, it was a very promising opening to the U18s’ pre-season campaign. There were plenty of positives for the players and coaches to take from the morning, along with areas to continue working on before the league begins in two weeks’ time.
