Letterkenny RFC’s two senior men’s teams experienced mixed fortunes during the weekend, with the 1st XV suffering defeat on the road while the 2nd XV earned a hard-fought draw at home.

The 1st XV travelled to face Larne RFC but endured a difficult afternoon against a strong home side. Larne made the most of their opportunities and ultimately secured a 48–21 victory.

At Dave Gallaher Park, the 2nd XV welcomed Strabane 2nd XV for a tense and closely contested encounter. There was little to separate the teams throughout the match, with both sides battling hard until the final whistle.

Letterkenny’s efforts earned them a share of the points as an entertaining contest finished level at 24–24.

Both Letterkenny teams will now turn their attention to this Saturday, when they are each in action at Dave Gallaher Park.

The 1st XV will welcome Coleraine RFC, while the 2nd XV will face local rivals Inishowen RFC.

With two senior matches taking place at home, the club would encourage supporters to come along and get behind both teams.
