Letterkenny RFC under 18's got their league season back on track on Saturday with a comprehensive away victory over Coleraine. Try scorers included Peter Scott, James Roulston, Connor McMenamin, Matthew Faulkner, Eunan Henry, David Ward, Stephen Gibson, Ben Scott, Bailey Loughlin and Louis Carson. Coach Gordon Curley was more pleased with the improved performance than the score line "we are starting to gel as a team and I thought we controlled the game very well through Peter Scott at 8 and Matthew Faulkner at 10. Our forwards were dominant throughout with Josshua Fulton having a tremendous game in the second row. Ben Scott was also outstanding at hooker despite a leg injury inflicted by his brother in an alleged case of mistaken identity. Any day where our front row all score trys must be a good day and I was particularly impressed by the touch down under the posts by our tight head Gibson. Jack McGarvey also had his best game of the season at scrum half. We need to keep working on our support play but overall I am very pleased with our progress so far." Great credit should go to Coleraine who fielded with only 14 players and lost a player through injury. Despite the numerical advantage they kept fighting to the final whistle and certainly displayed great team spirit.
