Letterkenny u18s played City of Derry at home today and after a few players pulled out just before the game Letterkenny settled and scored an early try through a great run from Ewan Douglas for Matthew Gibson to score his first try for the club.
The boys then went in to their shells again and allowed Derry to retain the ball too easily and run at us for phase after phase as well as score a soft try. Letterkenny ended the first half 14-5 after Finn Duffy unbelievably picked up a ball from the side of the scrum to put Dylan Coyle over.
In the second half the boys regrouped and started to run the ball at Derry keeping the ball alive to run away with the game. Some great rugby was played by everyone and once again the tackling was outstanding to end thegame 45-5. Good games today from Matthew Murray. Johnnie McGonagle, David Henry, Ewan Douglas, Cuan Brophy and Matthew Gibson. Well done everyone and thanks to all the parents who turn out every week to support
