Letterkenny welcomed Malone to the Dave Gallagher grounds today on a bright sunny day.
The visitors started the sharpest but LK got stuck into there tackling and quickly cut the advance forward.
Both sides put bodies on the line in rucking and tackling with injuries on both side coming in the first 10 minutes.
The first half continued with some some good handling skills from the backs with the ball be shifted out to the wings.
the break through came in the 24th minute after good rucking from LK forwards and good running from the backs a maul started i n Malones 22m, Lk forwards pushing on and Matthew spinning away from the maul to score his first try of the season.

The second half started with Malone being the quicker again and from a ruck outside LK 10m line the ball was picked up by Malone center and he ran down the blindside to score there only try of the game .
LK pick them self's up and started to force there grame plan on Malone And with great rucking from Ben M. Eddie, Andrew, Conor M, Donnachadh, Adam, Fabio the ball was shifted from one side of the pitch to the other and with good runs from Charlie , Fabio, Adam, Brian and Mya the ball was passed to Conor M. and he burst his way through the Malone Defense to score LK second try.

Over all LK u14's played extremely well and showed a hunger for the ball and the character of a team that is starting to believe they can win games no matter who they come up against.
