After a brilliant start last week against City of Derry Letterkenny U14's where brought down to earth with a bang.
Randelstown started straight from the whistle and caught Letterkenny sleeping with there first attack resulting in there 1st try after 4 minutes.
As the first half went on Randelstown seem to be doing everything right and Letterkenny everything wrong they just couldn't get any continuity together and as the first half ended Randelstown where 4 try's and 3 conversions ahead.
The second half started quite the same with Randelstown attacking straight from the off. But Letterkenny began to get some hard tackles in and started rucking a lot better than the first half and within the first 5 minutes Adam Quinn went over for a try under the post with the conversion by Rory McGinty.
Letterkenny started to show some of the form from the previous week and started to play their game.
Randelstown found it harder to get past the Letterkenny defensive line with some good hard tackles coming from Rory McGinty, Eddie Grant, James Roulston Mooney,Adam Quinn, Ben Mcgarvey and Mya Alcon. Letterkenny started to string some good passes together going from one side of the pitch to the other.
Letterkenny an Randelstown battled hard for the first 15 to 20 minutes until Letterkenny where awarded a Scrum inside Randelstowns 22 the scrum held firm as it did all day and doing what all good scrum half's do Rory McGinty picked from the back of the scrum and darted his way past 2 Randelstown players to go in for a try.
Then as the half progressed Letterkenny seem to get tired and Randelstown scored 3 more trys. Letterkenny were beaten by a well organized fit team but showed good character to get back into the game with great running from Fabio (captain) Mya, Conor Aitkin, James, Adam, Rory and Eddie.
Player of the Game was Fabio.
Thank to the Parents that came along to support the team and help out.
