

A fine winter morning. Bright sunshine, with a bitter wind.
Letterkenny opened strong. They dominated possession, and played in their scoring half, for the first 15 minutes. The forwards driving forward, eventually yielded a try to Dan Geoghan, under the posts.The try was converted by Ben Hopkins.
After the restart, Letterkenny dominated again. Wave after wave, of pick and drive, gave Gaetano Cinquenani, a try.
Ben Hopkins converted.
Towards the end of the first half, Coleraine started to "find-their-feet", and they ran in their first try.

As the second half progressed, the momentum of the game swung to Coleraine. They ran in an early second half try. Then Coleraine camped out on our own try-line, for 15 minutes. Wave after wave, came at Letterkenny, but somehow they tackled, rucked, and disrupted Coleraine. Against the run of play, the Letterkenny backs, ran the ball, from Coleraine's 22, and winger Ewan Douglas, ran in a try. The final minutes of the clock, ticked away, and Oisin Farrell ran in Letterkenny's final try.
